DTC & TIP

hi..i am trying to see TIP communication using MS DTC sample applications
(dblib: equipped with SQL Server 2000) between w2k & w2k3.
| w2k || w2k3 |
My query is abt TIP...i couldn't find any check box or option to
"Enable TIP" in Win2000. How can i enable TIP and see packets
between w2k & w2k3. At the moment i am using dblib sample application,
is there any other available that can help me understand TIP ?
Suggestions/Recommendations are highly appreciated.

Search MS Support (http://support.microsoft.com) for the wealth KB articles on diagnosing DTC issues. Personally I'd check you name resolution. A good start would be to search for DTCPING, WINRM and DTCTESTER, and try these diagnostic tools.

Windows 2000 is enabled for network DTC by default, it does not have to be enabled in the same way as 2003.

|||hi..
Thanks a lot ..i have gone thru DTCPing, would certainly thru the rest two. But i did not
find TIP option (or TIP packets across the network). I think now i am more clear, i want
to see TIP packets (not just DCERPC packets).
