DTS Export fails with "Invalid Object Name"

I have a database that used to have a table called MALL_Customers. The
table was renamed to tbl_Users, and a view was created called MALL_Customers
which simply selects all rows from tbl_Users, for backwards compatibility
with the web app accessing the database.
The database works fine; the web app works fine. All permissions are set
properly on all objects. The view is accessible via EM, as is the table.
However, when I attempt to run a DTS Export of this database to an empty
database on the same server, I get "invalid object name" on MALL_Customers.
Apparently somewhere, in some trigger, stored proc, or some other object,
there is a reference to MALL_Customers that doesn't recognize the VIEW as a
valid object, but is instead looking for a TABLE with that name. I cannot
find it anywhere, and I don't know where to start.
The overall question then is, how do I find all references to the text
"MALL_Customers" in the database schema so that I can track down why my DTS
package is failing. I have another database with a similar problem, and I
think the solution to this problem will also solve the other -- hidden
references somewhere in the database that cause "invalid object name" errors
when using DTS.
Where do I start?
Thanks in Advance,
Marcyou can search through the system table syscomments which, contains entries
for each view, rule, default, trigger, CHECK constraint, DEFAULT constraint,
and stored procedure
Ex:
select * from syscomments where text like '%MALL_Customers%'
Also you can use stored procedure sp_depends to know dependencies of the
existing object.
Ex:
sp_depends 'MALL_Customers'

DTS copy all objects failed with invalid column name

I am trying to use the Import Data wizard to copy one database into
another on the same server and keep getting this error.
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid column name
'ColumnName'
There are 6 columns in the list and all of them either don't exist
anymore or have been moved to another table in the database. I don't
understand why it keeps trying to copy columns that either aren't
there or have been moved. It looks like the database has become
corrupted. Does anyone know how I might fix this?
Regards,
Aaron
I have also tried dropping all the tables, recreating them and
re-inserting the data and I still get these errors when trying to copy
the database.

dts conversion error

I have a dts package that imports data from a comma delimited .csv file.

I'm getting a conversion invalid for datatypes on column pair 1 (source 'col0012' (DBTYPE_STR), destination column 'latitude' (DBTYPE_R8)).

So, the source file is populated as a string for 'col002' and I have that field specified as a float within my table. Float is the correct type for the value.

How can I make the conversion correctly during the dts execution.

Thank you.do you have any empty strings in the source file going to the float column?|||Also - does your CSV include column headings and, if so, have you ticked the box in the DTS to let SQL Server know that?sql

DTS - The directory name is invalid

I am trying to save a dts package that I modified to sql server and am getting the following error:

"The directory name is invalid"

I've also tried saving it as a structured storage file and get the same error!

I've been working with dts packages for years and I've never gotten this error.

Can anyone help?

Pete

DTS - Invalid Pointer

How can I debug this issue since the SP works ok but when it tries to send out to a text file (using the Text Destination) I gety this?I have tried this also and sometimes get the same results. Do we have to create the file beforehand in Notepad with no content? Does it have to be deleted each time before running the package to force the package to create it each time? Do we need to create a share on the drive and use a UNC name to the file? I tried logging in from another server and running the package but this did not work this time. It has worked other times. HELP!!!

DTS - Invalid Interface String

Hello,
i'm writing an application (using Delphi 7) in which i must use a DTS to
export data from a MSSQLServer database to a Paradox one. I made it up on a
machine where i can have it working properly, but when i try to use the same
application on another computer i get an "invalid interface string" error
right when the DTS is called
Working machine has SQLServer and Delphi 7 installed running on WinXP Pro
SP2, not working machine has only same OS installed. Note that that one is
the only error i get trying to access data that are on a remote server, i
can use properly every table but not using DTS.
Any suggestions on what i forgot?
